We utilize a collaborative procurement Mechanism that aggregates demand to negotiate more competitive prices for health commodities. By partnering directly with manufacturers and private health facilities, we streamline the supply chain and eliminate unnecessary intermediaries and inefficiencies to improve the availability, affordability, and access to quality health commodities for patients

Why We Exist
MediLink Foundation (MLF) responds to critical gaps among private healthcare providers in Tanzania, including fragmented procurement, limited coordination, and underutilized purchasing power. MLF addresses these challenges by coordinating joint and pooled procurement for private hospitals and FBOs to improve availability and affordability of quality health commodities.
Beyond procurement, Medilink Foundation serves as a strategic platform for integrating the private health supply chain into national and regional pooled procurement initiatives. Consolidating private-sector demand and linking with manufacturers, Medilink enables economies of scale and private-sector participation in regional pooled procurement initiatives.
Medilink Foundation also uses a shared digital platform to provide stock visibility across participating facilities, enabling surplus commodities to be redistributed to facilities facing shortages. Through pooled procurement and inter-facility redistribution, Medilink strengthens coordination and reduces wastage and expiries, and promotes a more efficient and responsive private health supply chain.
